One of the most exciting players of his generation, Junior played all but part of one of his 22 seasons with either the Seattle Mariners or the Cincinnati Reds. His 630 career Home Runs place him 6th on the All Time list. The Hall of Famer was 13 times an All Star, winner of 10 Gold Gloves, recipient of 7 Silver Slugger Awards, and 4-time American League Home Run Champ.
Offered is the Griffey bat he used to hit his 22nd home run of the 1998 season and 316th career big fly. The bat is uncracked and exhibits outstanding use. Numerous ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visibly on all sides of the barrel. Blue bat rack streaks can be seen on the handle. The handle is taped in a criss-cross pattern to enhance the grip. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. Junior autographed the barrel in bold silver Sharpie and inscribed "98 HR 22." John Taube of PSA/DNA gave the bat a perfect GU 10 grade for the use.
