Jim Thome had an illustrious 22 year career in the MLB, playing for six teams total after being drafted by the Cleveland Indians. Thome was selected to the All Star team five times and was inducted in the MLB Hall of Fame in 2018. This lot offers a 1998 Jim Thome game used and autographed Rawling Big Stick '491A' professional model bat. The sleek, black bat shows outstanding use with many ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers with white scuffs. There is also signs of cleat marks and a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The bat has been autographed on the barrel in bold silver permanent marker for nice appeal. The autograph has been sticker certified by both TriStar and PSA/DNA. John Taube of PSA/DNA has awarded this bat the highest possible GU 10 grade.
