Jim Thome played 22 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1991 to 2012. He competed for six different teams most notably the Cleveland Indians during the 1990s and the Philadelphia Phillies in the early 2000s. A prolific power hitter Thome launched 612 home runs during his career seventh most all time along with 1699 RBI and a .276 batting average. He was a member of five All-Star teams and won a Silver Slugger Award in 1996.

This lot features an ensemble of Thome Cleveland Indians uniform pieces. The first is his 1998 Indians game-issued home alternate jersey. The blue polyester Rawlings jersey reads Indians across the front in red script tackle twill outlined in white. The front left tail is sporting the proper Russell Athletic manufacturers tagging alongside a Diamond Collection [size] 52 tag. Beneath the tagging is a 100% POLYESTER strip tag alongside a 1998 strip tag. The back of the jersey shows Thomes iconic uniform number 25 in red tackle twill outlined in white positioned underneath his nameplate arched across the shoulders in similar tackle twill fashion. The Indians trademark Chief Wahoo logo path adorns the left sleeve.

The second part of the ensemble is a pair of Thomes game-worn Cleveland Indians road pants from the 1997 season a campaign in which he launched 40 home runs drove in 102 runs and scored 104 runs. The gray Russell Athletic polyester pants show minor game usage and include the proper manufacturers tagging on the inside rear waistband including the Diamond Collection [size] 37 tag a 100% POLYESTER strip tag and a separate tag reading 25 37-30-97 to indicate the players jersey number waist size inseam length and season. Thomes uniform number 25 has been written into the inside waistband in black fine point marker. Clevelands red-and-blue piping runs the length of either pant leg.
