Considered by many to be the greatest player in the modern era ARod continues to rewrite the record books as he enters the twilight of his legendary career. As a member of the Seattle Mariners Rodriguez was at the top of his game in 1998 generating 213 hits 42 home runs 124 RBI's and a .310 batting average. He also stole 46 bases that season making him only the third player in history to join the elite 40/40 Club (40 homers and 40 stolen bases). This white knit jersey from that historic season is lettered Mariners across the front and features the number 3 on the reverse and Rodriguez lettered in navy/teal tackle twill. A Seattle Mariners team patch appears on the left sleeve. Situated on the left front tail are a Russell Athletic (size 48) label a 1998 year tag and four separate flag denoting 100% Polyester 2 EXTRA BODY LENGTH 1 EXTRA SLEEVE LENGTH and TAPERED BODY respectively. Arod has added a dark black autograph to the back along with his inscription 1998 Game Used 40/40. The jersey is completely original with no alterations and displays moderate use.
An accompanying COA from Mill Creek Sports Cards is signed by Rodriguez himself. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (auto.)
