Nice grouping of game-worn items from former NBA stand-out Glenn Robinson. The “Big Dog” enjoyed a fantastic college career at Purdue sweeping all the major Player of the Year awards as a junior when he averaged 30 points and 10 rebounds before being selected with the #1 overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1994. The 6’7” small forward averaged 21.1 points per game in his eight seasons with the Bucks earning two All-Star appearances. Offered here is his 1998-99 road jersey and two pairs of Nike sneakers worn 1998-2000.
The purple Bucks jersey has team name and No. 13 in white tackle twill outlined in a purple crystal and green outline. The player name is sewn directly on upper back in white on Bucks green. Appropriate Starter tagging is found on left front tail with “Designed And Tailored Exclusively For the MILWAUKEE BUCKS” the NBA Authentics logo a size 48 flag tag and a blank strip tag below. The unsigned mesh jersey comes all-original with solid wear throughout.
The black Nike shoes are Air Jordan XIV models sported by Robinson in 1999-2000 his first All-Star season. They come in size 14 with “981202 Y3” interior tagging to denote the manufacturing date and player-issued code. The Jordan brand logo and No. 23 appear on the heels in silver. Blue custom-fitting orthotics are inserted in each shoe. Robinson has signed the outside of each in shiny silver marker with his number inscribed. The white and purple Nike Air Force shoes come in size 15 with a manufacturing date of “10-26-99” on the interior tagging and proper player sample coding. Again these come with blue custom orthotics and are each signed by Big Dog in black marker. Both pairs exhibit excellent game use and are very well-preserved. All items come directly from the personal collection of Coby Karl son of longtime NBA coach George Karl who played in the NBA from 2007-10. He received all items from his collection either straight from the player or through his father who coached Robinson 1998-2002.
