Offered here is a spectacular Steve Young game-worn jersey from the 1997 season which has a brisk Young autograph in black sharpie in the middle section of his white No. 8 on the back. "Young" is stitched in the back nameplate in white and black tackle twill. Young's No. 8 appears in blazing gold white and black tackle twill front and back and on the shoulder pads. The sleeves have white and black striping screen-printed on along with the 49ers logo and the embroidered Reebok logo just above; they have been custom cut and hemmed at the ends. Young liked to roll up his sleeves as game photos from that season do attest. The famed NFL shield logo is at the V of the neckline. Light but evident use is presented on this mesh garment which also has the appropriate "Pro Line 1997 Reebok Authentic" tag in the lower front exterior tail and Reebok Size 44 tagging at the collar along with a washing instructions flag tag that has faded a bit. This is a Hall of Fame-caliber game-worn shirt from Canton's superior southpaw quarterback.

From 1986-2002 Dave Rahn served an integral role within the San Francisco 49ers organization. Starting as a public relations and media coordinator he soon took over as director of travel and team services where he was responsible for all football operations including travel and accommodations practice schedules lodging and meal planning. He later managed the concert tours for Fleetwood Mac Sheryl Crow and Lionel Richie. In 2014 Dave Rahn passed away after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. "He was like a wheel and all these spokes from those years came from him" said his close friend former linebacker Gary Plummer. "He kept the 49ers family from those times together." His collection includes dozens of 49ers game-worn and autographed items gifted by the many players and staff members who were loyal friends to Dave and will forever remain close to his loving family.
