Roberto Alomar arrived in Baltimore in 1996 already regarded as one of baseball's finest all-around second basemen, and his three seasons with the Orioles (1996-98) only burnished that reputation. Alomar captured a Gold Glove in each of those campaigns, made the All-Star team all three years, and helped lead Baltimore to consecutive postseason appearances, including the 1996 ALCS and the 1997 AL East title. Alomar's blend of a smooth left-handed swing, elite bat control, and standout defense at second base would eventually carry him to Cooperstown, where he was inducted in 2011 as one of the greatest second basemen the game has ever seen.

Offered here is a Louisville Slugger "M356" professional model bat used and by Alomar in 1997. The bat is finished in black, with "Louisville Slugger" and model "M356" branded on the barrel alongside a facsimile Roberto Alomar signature and "Baltimore Orioles" lettering, and displays handle and barrel wear consistent with regular game use. The barrel also carries Alomar's genuine signature in silver marker. The bat has been graded a superb GU 9.5 by PSA/DNA, reflecting outstanding, well-documented use characteristic.
