A fourth-round pick in the 1995 NFL Draft by the Jaguars Rob Johnson started for an injured Mark Brunell in 1997 and had a breakout performance that set a record for the best completion percentage by a debuting starting quarterback. In a nine-year career with five different teams Johnson threw for 5795 yards and 30 touchdowns before retiring after the 2003 season.
This sparkling jersey hails to that 1997 season. On the front left tail is the Nike ProLine manufacturers tag with wash instructions tag on the inside of the right panel. At the collar is a white strip tag with 97-48. On the front back and both shoulders is the player number "11." Across the back is the player name "Johnson" on a teal name plate. All lettering and numbering is done in white on gold on black triple tackle twill. On the front collar of black elastic is the official "NFL" logo patch. On each sleeve is the JAGUARS team logo patch with the Nike embroidered logo above. The jersey has custom elastic sleeves of gold and black. Johnson has signed on the back of the jersey alongside his number adding his No. 11 inscription. The jersey shows light game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from the Newport Sports Museum.
