1997-1998 Houston Comets jersey game worn and signed by guard Cynthia Cooper during her 2nd consecutive WNBA Most Valuable Player season. Cooper is perhaps the best all-around basketball player ever to play in the WNBA. Playing only 5 seasons in the WNBA all with the Houston Comets she led the team to 4 consecutive WNBA Championships from 1997-2000. Cooper was voted finals MVP in all four of those seasons as well as regular season MVP in both 1997 and 1998. Cooper won Olympic gold for the United States at the Seoul Olympics in 1988. After just 5 spectacular seasons in the WNBA she retired and went into college coaching. She is currently the head coach for the USC Trojans Women's basketball team. Large Comets logo 14 and WNBA logo sewn on front. "14" and "COOPER" sewn on back. Champion and "DESIGNED & TAILORED BY CHAMPION EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE HOUSTON COMETS 1997" tags sewn in front tail. Jersey displays moderate game use.
Includes a signed LOA from the Houston Rockets Equipment manager on team letterhead. LOA from Grey Flannel.
