Curtis Joseph enjoyed a prolific hockey career in the NHL as one of the leagues elite goaltenders. A terrific netminder Joseph wore this goalies glove during the 197-98 season when he was manning the pipes for the Edmonton Oilers. That season he made 1720 saves for a save percentage of .905. This is a game-worn glove that Joseph wore during that season. A blue Louisville glove with white-and-gold outlines it includes Josephs signature in gold on the inside of the palm. It is also embroidered with his nickname CUJO across the back of the hand and his last name JOSEPH near the wrist area. It shows plenty of game-action wear complete with paint transfers and some stitches starting to fray on the inside of the palm region.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
