Presented here is an impressive game-worn helmet from four-time All-Pro linebacker Hardy Nickerson that he presented to NFL Hall of Famer Rod Woodson. Nickerson was a standout in 16 seasons with the Steelers Buccaneers Jaguars and Packers going to five Pro Bowls during that span including the 1997 entry where he also wore this very same helmet. The helmet is photo-matched to a Nov. 17 1996 game in San Diego when the Buccaneers prevailed 25-17. As noted above a decal on the back of the helmet indicates it was also used in the 1997 Pro Bowl in Honolulu. Nickerson has supplied a strong black Sharpie autograph on the left side alongside the Buccaneers decal adding his uniform number 56 and inscriptions of “God Bless” and “Psalm 37:4.” The spectacular helmet shows outstanding game use with the original face mask and chin strip completely intact and problem free.
