This lot features the earliest Brian Wilson autograph you will ever see. In 1995, as a fan, Wilson attended a Team USA vs. South Korea scholastic baseball game at Fenway Park to qualify for the Junior Pan American Baseball Championships held later that year in Santiago, Chile. South Korea ended up winning gold, Cuba took silver and Venezuela finished third.

 

According to Wilson, this was a ball used in the qualifying game at Fenway. A Korean batter hit it foul and Wilson caught it from his seat. Sometime after, young Brian signed his name on the ELOO Corporation (Korea) baseball with  "TEAM KOREA 1995, JR. PAN AM GAMES" inscribed in 9/10 blue ink. (Wilson was born on March 16, 1982, in Winchester, MA, and grew up in Londonderry, NH.)

 

The baseball remains in NM condition and would display nicely with the signature panel. Affixed with a PSA/DNA sticker (AP30126) certifying the autograph's authenticity. Includes a letter signed by "The Beard" himself.
