Recently inducted Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre had a career to remember playing for the glorious Green Bay Packers for 16 seasons. A three-time NFL MVP Favre – the gunslinging QB for the Packers – earned his first NFL MVP award following the 1995 campaign in which he led Title Town’s team to an 11-5 regular-season record a pair of playoff victories and the NFC Championship game which they lost 38-27 to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Dallas Cowboys. For the season Favre who started all 16 games behind center threw for 4413 yards and 38 touchdowns.This lot features Favre’s game-worn and signed Green Bay Packers helmet from that momentous season.
The size L (7 5/8) Riddell helmet shows plenty of wear with multiple contact marks and abrasions throughout and sports the Packers green-and-white “G” logo on either side. The original interior padding and dark green facemask remain intact and Favre’s uniform number “4” can be found in three places inside the helmet via black marker as well as one “4” black decal. He signed the left side of the helmet in black marker and added “4” and “Game Worn” next to his autograph. Favre who would go on to pass for 71838 yards during his illustrious career earned induction into Canton just this past summer.
Includes LOA from Green Bay Packers Equipment Manager as well as two 5 x 7 photos of Favre signing it.
