The 1995-96 season was a journey to previously unexplored levelsof excellence for the Chicago Bulls as they went 72-10 in the regular season to set an NBA record before coasting through the Eastern Conference playoffs and defeating the Seattle SuperSonics in the Finals. Back from hisprofessional baseball experiment Michael Jordan was named league and Finals MVP and let everyone know he was still the greatest player inthe world. This Chicago Bulls World Champions 'A' version ring was issued to a marketing executive and is identical in all respects to the player rings.
Made by Jostens the 14-karat gold ring weighs 46 grams and is set with a total of 76sparkling diamonds. The face features a black stone with four Larry O'Brien trophies set with four large diamonds to signify the four NBA titles won by the Bulls to that point. 72 smaller diamonds around the perimeterindicate the record-setting number of wins during the 1995-96 regularseason. The right shank is inscribed “WORLD CHAMPIONS - 72 WINS - GREATEST TEAM EVER" over the NBA logo and Chicago skyline. The left shank bears the Bulls logo with “WELLS-NUNN - BULLS 95-96 - MKTG”. The Jostens trademark and "14K" are stamped inside the band. The ring comes in size 8 1/2; a professional jeweler can easily resize it if necessary. Simply a stunning example in pristine condition from thegreatest season in NBA history.
Note: All three Bulls rings listed in this auction were issued to the same Bulls employee. They were all sold legally to the consignor several years ago without their presentation boxes. The rings have been professionally cleaned prior to this auction.
