Willie McGinest was a top-notch defensive end for the USC Trojans from 1990 to 93 where he wore the coveted No. 55. He earned all-conference honors for three straight years and All-American acclaim. During his senior year he was a Lombardi Award finalist and earned All-America and All-Pac-10 conference honors. He started every game at weak side defensive end for the Trojans. McGinest finished his collegiate career with 193 tackles (134 solos) 29 sacks (171 yards) 48 tackles for loss (238 yards) and 26 passes batted away. This is McGinests game-worn USC road white jersey from the 93 season. The No. 55 nylon/mesh jersey (size 52) shows substantial game usage via multiple team repairs and paint transfers throughout and includes the W.A. Goodman & Sons manufacturers tag on the bottom of the left front side. McGinest signed the back of the jersey in black fine-point marker on the first "5" of the No. 55. The signature is strong and rates 9/210 in our book.
Includes Letter of Authenticity from USC as well as Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
