On July 12 1993 the Upper Deck Company sponsored the "Celebrity Home Run Challenge" in conjunction with the MLB All-Star Game which was played the following day at the recently opened Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Several entertainment celebrities went to bat that afternoon for the charity of their choice in the first Upper Deck Celebrity Home Run Challenge for Charity. Competitors included Tom Selleck Bill Murray Patrick Ewing Jim Belushi Ahmad Rashad and the late Florence Griffith Joyner (a.k.a. Flo-Jo). This lot includes an OAL (Brown) baseball that has been signed by all six celebrities in varying degrees of blue or black ink. Rashad as a matter of fact signed the baseball twice. Although the baseball does show some degree of yellowing all signatures are legible and clear.
