This striking game-worn jersey was worn by Mike Modano the all-time goal-scoring and points leader among American-born players in the NHL as well as the last active player in the NHL who played for the North Stars when the team was in Minnesota. Modano was drafted first overall by the North Stars in 1988 and after the team moved to Texas he helped the Stars win the Stanley Cup in 1999. The Hall of Famer played his final NHL season with his hometown team the Detroit Red Wings. Modano is considered one of the most influential figures in popularizing hockey in Texas and the southern United States. The Dallas Stars patch is at the center in green and gold glitter tackle twill and the A designation is affixed to the left shoulder in black green and white tackle twill. Modanos No. 9 on the back and shoulders in black gold and white tackle twill the same scheme used for his name on a green nameplate above. Back of the jersey has green white and gold accents in the form of a star which extends to both shoulders and the Dallas Texas Star embroidered patch is found on each shoulder. A CCM label appears at the back of the collar with small 56 flag tag alongside and is also embroidered at the back of the waist in silver. Modano has penned a solid black Sharpie autograph on the front of the jersey below the Dallas Star adding his uniform number inscription. Shirt is in impeccable condition and shows game wear consisting of light stick and puck marks and some light fraying of stitching. The jersey is problem-free and without evidence of alteration in any manner.
