After Pistons coach Chuck Daly resigned in 1992 Dennis Rodman lost the father figure that had kept him in check during his years in Detroit. He was fined for missing pre-season camp and contemplated suicide as his life spiraled out of control. In October of 1993 he demanded and received a trade to San Antonio.
This home white mesh jersey game-issued for "The Worm" for that impending 1993-94 season in Detroit has “PISTONS” above Rodman’s number “10” in blue and red appliqué. A Champion size “42” label is sewn in the front left tail beside a 1993-1994 Champion/Pistons label which is stamped with “BODY LENGTH +2”. A TriStar Productions hologram has been affixed. Red white and blue ribbing trims the arm and neck openings and runs don each side. The back has “RODMAN” in blue appliqué above his number “10” in blue and red appliqué. The jersey shows medium game use with some fading and cracking to the appliqué graphics. Rodman has signed the back of the jersey beneath his number “23” and added “Bad Boy” in black marker. This jersey was made for him but never worn in a game.
Includes LOA from Pistons trainer Tony Harris (1992-95) who mistakenly calls it game-used. Autograph certified by TriStar (7595501). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
