1992-93 New York Rangers road blue jersey game-worn by rugged defenseman Jay Wells. Wells played 18 years in the NHL mainly with the Los Angeles Kings (9) and New York Rangers (4). He was a solid stay-at-home defenseman always willing to drop the gloves when the situation demanded it. Dark blue jersey has "RANGERS" diagonally in red with white trim sewn across chest. Wells number "24" sewn on both sleeves in the same red with white trim. "WELLS" and large "24" in red with white trim sewn on back. GERRY CROSBY CCM and size 54 tags sewn in back of collar. CCM and NHL logo patches sewn on back tail. It must be noted that the commemorative patch celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Stanley Cup has been removed from the right shoulder. There is clear evidence in the fabric of such an alteration. Overall the jersey displays heavy game use with numerous team repairs (we count 13 total) mostly found on the sleeves and shirttail. Significant puckering to the numbers and two soiling marks on the left sleeve.
