Over the course of his 21-year career Paul Molitor batted over .300 12 times finishing at .306 lifetime. The 7-time All-Star led the Brewers and Blue Jays to the World Series over 11 years apart winning the WS Most Valuable Player Award in 1993. Molitor was elected to the Hall of Fame in 2004.
Dating to the 1991 season this 34 inch 32 ounce Cooper model H176 Paul Molitor professional model bat is uncracked and shows evidence of excellent use with slight checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right left and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers. Also visible on the right barrel are cleat marks. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. The length (34) and weight (32 oz) are stamped on the knob in black ink. Also visible on the knob is Molitor's Brewers number (4) in black marker. A Paul Molitor signature is on the back barrel in blue marker.
Provenance: This bat was given by Paul to teammate Duane Ward in 1992. Ward's handwritten Letter of Authenticity accompanied the bat.
