In 1991 Kirby Puckett almost single-handedly carried his team to the pennant batting .429 with a pair of homers in the ALCS. Then in one of the greatest World Series games ever played Puckett saved the game with a leaping catch and then won the contest with an 11th inning home run. The image of Puckett tearing around the bases with his arms raised in triumph has become one of the most iconic shots of 1990’s baseball. Puck’s 1991 dated Louisville Slugger C243 model bat is un-cracked and shows outstanding use. Many ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen along with blue ink transfers. The barrel has blue bat rack paint streaks and black contact marks from other bats. Cleat impressions are in evidence. Puckett’s number “34” is hand written on the knob in black marker and a moderate coat of pine tar is found on the upper and lower handle. The Twins legend has signed the barrel in black marker adding his number “34”.

Graded a perfect GU 10 by John Taube of PSA/DNA. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
