Gary Sheffield is a former major league slugger who launched 509 home runs and knocked in 1676 runs during the course of his 22-year major league career in which he played for eight different teams. This lot includes Sheffields game-used Milwaukee Brewers batting helmet from the 1991 season his fourth in the bigs. The size "7 1/8" Brewers royal blue helmet shows ample game use and includes the Brewers logo on the front center as well as Sheffields uniform number (11) on the back. An older helmet it includes just the one ear flap on the left side as Sheffield was a right-handed batter. On the bottom of the rear of the helmet are small stickers showing the American and Canadian flags side by side which was used by teams during the '91 time period to honor both countries involvement in the Gulf War. Noticeable scuff marks and signs of use are apparent throughout its royal blue shell.
