1991 Chicago Blackhawks home jersey game worn and signed by rugged Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Chelios. Chelios has signed his number 7 on the back "Chris Chelios 7" in near perfect 9/10 looking black felt tip pen. Chelios played for the Montreal Canadiens Chicago Blackhawks Detroit Red Wings and Atlanta Thrashers from 1983 to 2010. The name Chris Chelios is synonymous with longevity. Chelios holds the record with Gordie Howe for the most seasons played with 26 and the record for most games played in the NHL for a defenseman. He is 5th overall with 1651 games played. In 26 seasons he only missed the playoffs twice and his 24 playoff appearances is an NHL record. Chelios was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2013. Large Blackhawks logo 1991 42nd NHL ALL STAR GAME and "a" Alternate Captain's patches sewn on front. "7" with crossed tomahawks "C" logo on both shoulders. Large "7" with "CHELIOS" nameplate sewn on back. Maska Tag sewn in back of collar. CCM and NHL logo tags sewn on back tail. Jersey displays extensive use with 15 team repairs black marks and what appear to be blood stains. Great game used jersey from a Hall of Fame defenseman.
Includes a letter of provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
