High-flying power forward Shawn Kemp wore this classic SuperSonics road gamer for Seattle in1991-92 when he was just coming into his own with an array of rim-rattling and crowd-pleasing dunks. "ReignMan" as he was appropriately nicknamed averaged 15.5 points 10.4 rebounds and 1.9 blocks on the year one in which the SuperSonicsadvanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. Any Sonics jersey from the early-mid 1990's is now considered acollector's item especially one hailing from perhaps the team's most popular and exciting player ever.
Across the front of the green mesh jersey reads “SONICS”. Across the back reads his last name “KEMP”. Both of these are painted in green on a white cloth stripe. A “Champion [size] 48” manufacturer’s label with laundry instructions appears on the left front tail alongside another Champion” “YEAR: 1991” and "Body Length +4" exclusivity tag. On the left chest is an official “NBA” logo embroidered. Player number “40” appears on both the front and on the back painted in yellow with a white border on the green mesh jersey. Kemp signed the front of the jersey in black marker and added “#40” next to the team name. In our opinion the signature rates a 7/10. This jersey is properly tagged and shows adequate wear. The provenance is hard to beat as well.
Includes LOA from former NBA player Coby Karl son of longtime SuperSonics coach George Karl. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (autograph).
