Nice trio of game-used goalie sticks from three solid net protectors in their day. Starting chronologically with Bob Essensa the late bloomer was drafted by Winnipeg in 1983 but did not make his first appearance with the Jets until 1988-89. He was named to the NHL All-Rookie 1st Team in 1989-90 after posting an 18-9 record. His offered Sher-Wood P.M.P.G. white-painted wood stick saw action during the 1991-92 season when he went 21-17 with five shutouts and allowed 2.88 goals per game. "ESSENSA" is stamped on the shaft. The knob has a partial tape job remaining but the blade remains fully taped and has his autograph and inscription "To Rick All the Best Bob Essensa #35" in 8/10 black marker. Stick shows excellent game use with an extra coat of clear tape repairing a crack/chip at the thick section above the curve of the blade.
Next up is a pair of L.A. Kings goaltenders. Stephane Fiset went 18-21 in 1998-99 with a 2.60 GAA. His game-used Sher-Wood 950 S.O.P wood stick from that season has "FISET 35" stamped on the shaft and comes taped at the knob and blade. He has signed the blade with "All the Best Stephane Fiset 35" in 7/10 black marker. Stick shows outstanding game use throughout. Roman Cechmanek played one season for the Kings in 2003-04 going 18-21 with a 2.51 GAA. His game-used Louisville TPS wood stick from that season has "CECHMANEK" stamped on the shaft and comes fully taped at the upper handle and blade. He has autographed the blade in 7/10 black marker with his No. "32" inscribed. Stick shows solid game use throughout.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum. Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
