During the decade of the 1990s the NFC squad defeated the AFC squad in four of the 10 contests. This lot includes three of the NFC team-signed footballs (1991 94 and 98) from battles that took place during that 10-year span. Only the 94 NFC contingent scored a victory (17-3) out of the three team-signed footballs. The official 91 Pro Bowl white-panel football includes more than 30 signatures in light blue ink from the NFC squad including Jerry Rice Reggie White Vaughn Johnson Randall McDaniel and Mel Gray. The official 94 version from the games victorious lineup includes 38 autographs from superstars including Brett Favre Barry Sanders Jerry Rice Steve Young Bobby Hebert Norm Johnson Seth Joyner Rich Camarillo Daryl Johnston and Bart Oates. Finally the 98 team-signed football which is covered with 25 signatures in blue ink including scrawls from Barry Sanders Warren Sapp Hardy Nickerson John Lynch Aeneas Williams and Cris Carter. The latter football shows some fading of the signatures although all are legible.

From 1986-2002 Dave Rahn served an integral role within the San Francisco 49ers organization. Starting as a public relations and media coordinator he soon took over as director of travel and team services where he was responsible for all football operations including travel and accommodations practice schedules lodging and meal planning. He later managed the concert tours for Fleetwood Mac Sheryl Crow and Lionel Richie. In 2014 Dave Rahn passed away after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. "He was like a wheel and all these spokes from those years came from him" said his close friend former linebacker Gary Plummer. "He kept the 49ers family from those times together." His collection includes dozens of 49ers game-worn and autographed items gifted by the many players and staff members who were loyal friends to Dave and will forever remain close to his loving family.
