Shaquille O'Neal wore these Reebok shoes in the 1990's during his time with the Lakers as he teamed up Kobe Bryant to bring three NBA titles to Los Angeles the fabled "Threepeat" from 2000-2002. Throughout his 19-year career O'Neal used his 7-1 height and 325 lbs. to overpower opponents for points and rebounds. Amid what was at the time an absolutely staggering amount of pre-draft type and commotion O'Neal was drafted by the Orlando Magic with the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. He quickly became one of the top centers in the league winning Rookie of the Year in 199293 and later leading his team to the 1995 NBA Finals. After four years with the Magic O'Neal signed as a free agent with the Lakers. His individual accolades include the 19992000 MVP award 15 All-Star game selections three All-Star Game MVP awards three Finals MVP awards two scoring titles 14 All-NBA team selections and three NBA All-Defensive Team selections.
With that sliver of Shaq's enormous resume comes these similarly enormous Size 22 Reebok white leather shoes that show game use but are in sensational condition with snowy white leather body and Laker purple trim highlights on each side and embroidered purple stitch Reebok logo on the outside of the tongue. The Size 22 manufacturer's label appears on the inside tongue of each shoe in the cushioned white foam and fabric interiors. Shaq has signed in bold black Sharpie on the white leather section near the left heel of both shoes adding his No. 34 inscription. Also included with the lot is a 5-by-2-inch plastic nameplate with gold finish noting "Shaquille O'Neal Size 22."
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
