A condition-sensitive and famously scarce printing anomaly from the 1990 Topps set: the #336 Ken Griffey Jr. All-Star Rookie card featuring the celebrated "Bloody Scar" green print error, widely considered the rarest and most sought-after variation in the otherwise common-issue 1990 Topps checklist. The front carries the familiar image of a young Griffey in his Seattle Mariners uniform, bat resting on his shoulder as he looks off toward the field, with the gold "Topps All-Star Rookie" trophy icon in the lower corner.

What sets this example apart is a distinctive streak of green ink near the elbow, the result of an attempt to cover up the bloody scar, giving the flaw its "bloody scar" nickname among collectors. The reverse carries Griffey's full minor and major league batting record through his rookie 1989 season with Seattle, along with biographical details noting his standout two-way career at Moeller High School in Cincinnati. Because the error occurred only briefly during the print run, verified examples are exceedingly difficult to locate, particularly in appealing condition, making this a true grail-level chase piece for advanced 1990 Topps and Griffey supercollectors alike. A must-see for error card specialists.
