This evocative black-and-white photograph by noted Bay Area sports photographer Michael Zagaris captures Jerry Rice and Joe Montana together in the locker room following the San Francisco 49ers' dominant victory in Super Bowl XXIV. Rice holds the Vince Lombardi Trophy while Montana, framed photo in hand, speaks into a reporter's microphone beneath a large "SUPER BOWL" backdrop banner, both still in full uniform moments after the win.

 

The photograph shows excellent contrast and sharp detail throughout, with the reverse bearing Zagaris's copyright stamp along with handwritten contemporaneous notes referencing the image and the 49ers' championship celebration. As a Type I, first-generation print directly from the photographer's archive, this image carries strong provenance alongside its historical subject matter. PSA/DNA has authenticated the photograph as an original Type I print circa 1990, capturing one of the 49ers dynasty's defining championship moments.
