Mark McGwire’s 1989 season was the third full season of his career, and the third in which he smacked 30 or more homers. He added 95 RBI to the powerful campaign and helped lead the Oakland Athletics to their ninth and most recent World Series title. This lot features a 1989 Mark McGwire Rawlings Adirondack 256B pro model bat. The bat is composed of top-quality ash and shows plenty of great game use. The 12-time All Star has signed the barrel in bold blue marker and inscribed “To Chili, All My Best” to 3x All Star and 3x World Series champ Chili Davis. A terrific piece of game-used sports memorabilia from the man who finished his big-league career with 583 home runs.
Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a near perfect GU 9.5 grade, plus a Beckett LOA for the autograph and inscription.
