This 1989 Fleer #548 Ken Griffey Jr. rookie card has been graded PSA Gem Mint 10, the highest possible designation on PSA's numerical scale. A PSA 10 on this issue requires perfect centering within strict tolerances, four sharp corners with no signs of wear, flawless original gloss, and surfaces completely free of print defects, scratches, or other imperfections, an extremely difficult standard for a Fleer issue from this era.

 

The 1989 Fleer set is well known among collectors for chronic centering problems and softer card stock compared to its Topps and Donruss counterparts from the same year, making true Gem Mint 10 examples genuinely scarce relative to the size of the original print run. As one of Griffey's most iconic rookie cards alongside his Upper Deck and Donruss issues, a Gem Mint 10 grade places this copy among the finest surviving examples of the card.
