This standout game-worn home jersey was worn by two-time All-Star Pat Verbeek in his first year with the Hartford Whalers when he led the team in goal scoring. In a 19-year career with five different teams he would accumulate 1063 total points and a Stanley Cup in 1999 with the Dallas Stars. This 1989-90 home white gamer shows tremendous game use by the man with the curious nickname "Little Ball of Hate" including stick marks aplenty board burns and several team repairs. The Whaler's logo appears on the front in blue and green tackle twill the same configuration used for his name and No. 16 on the back and on each sleeve with the name applied directly to the shirt without nameplate. Tail has the smaller embroidered CCM logo in blue and white. The shirt is CCM Air-knit tagged in the collar by Maska with a marked "16" in black. Verbeek has signed in black marker twice: on the front above the Whaler's logo and on the back above his jersey number adding his No. 16 inscription on both.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
