By the 1989-90 season Fleer was hitting their stride with their basketball card issues and the game's popularity was soaring with Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson among the icons grabbing attention of the fans.
Offered here are two 1989 Fleer Basketball wax boxes with (36) unopened wax packs in each. The boxes present as Good with minor visible wear. The wax packs all look like new. The consignor once owned a sports card shop back in the day and these were part of his inventory that he recently re-discovered.
To open, or not open? That is the question. The boxes and packs are cool display pieces just as they are.
But temptations inside the sealed packs include possible discoveries of high grade examples of Jordan, Bird and Magic, plus countless others like Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, Akeem Olajuwan, Karl Malone, Isiah Thomas, Chris Mullin, Reggie Miller, Dennis Rodman and John Stockton. Plus many other fun cards of then-players who are now coaches, executives or broadcasters for the league.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method. If you would like your items shipped in a different method, such as UPS/FedEx Next Day or UPSFedEx 2-Day, you must contact our Post Sale Services Manager Veronica Rodriguez by emailing customerservice@scpauctions.com to discuss alternative shipping instructions.
