The man who was considered the heart and soul of the great Giants teams of the late 1980's graced this remarkable home jersey from 1988 with a bold black Sharpie autograph and his famed No. 22 on the back of the shirt beneath his uniform number. The Size 44 jersey shows excellent game use but remains otherwise problem-free showing virtually no fraying of any of the black or orange stitching on his name block-letter "Giants" on the front or his No. 22 on the back. The appropriate redwhite and blue Rawlings stitched tag appears on the inside front-left tail. along with adjacent smaller tags with black-stitched "88 22" and "Set 1 1988." It is simply a wonderful artifact from the six-time All-Star and lifetime .303 hitter who almost indisputably had the sweetest swing in the game.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
