The 1987-88 NBA season was a big one for Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan. Not only did he lead the league in scoring by averaging 35 points per game but he defended his Slam Dunk title during the annual NBA All-Star Game on his home floor in Chicago and was ultimately named the leagues MVP his first of five such awards. This lot includes one of MJs autographed and game-worn pairs of Nike Air Jordan III shoes for that memorable season the same style shoe he wore in the Slam Dunk competition. The white black and gray shoes show definite game use and portions of both soles are actually starting to deteriorate. Jordan has signed both shoes in black marker. His signatures have faded slightly over time but still rate a strong 7-8/10. Also included in this lot is the official scorers report from the actual game in which Jordan wore these shoes on March 10 1988. Playing at home against the Los Angeles Lakers Jordan led all scorers that day with 38 points to help the Bulls post a 128-108 victory. The Air Jordan III style of shoes are considered his second toughest kicks to find behind the original "Air Jordan I" version. A very memorable pair of shoes from one of the leagues most memorable players.
Comes with Letter of Authenticity from Pittsburgh Steelers Hall of Fame Linebacker Jack Ham.
