Incredible game used stick from Gretzky's first season with the Los Angeles Kings. Titan TPM 2020 wooden stick Gretzky's trademark "gripper" at the top of the shaft and classic 'bulldog' tape job on the blade. Nice golden patina on the tape from Gretzky's baby powder application. Stick is not coded on the top since it was used prior to trainer Peter Demer's arrival. Factory pattern code 1-002 and dated 228812 on underside of shaft. Gretzky has added a black sharpie "Best Wishes Your Friend Wayne Gretzky 99/89". First year Los Angeles Gretzky gamers don't get much better than this one.
