Nine-time All-Star Gary Sheffield played for the Milwaukee Brewers San Diego Padres Florida Marlins Los Angeles Dodgers Atlanta Braves New York Yankees Detroit Tigers and the New York Mets over a sterling 22-year career. Sheffield was a first-round pick of the Brewers who selected him sixth overall in the 1986 amateur draft after a standout prep career at Hillsborough High School in Tampa.

At the end of his final season in 2009 Sheffield ranked second among all active players in walks (1475) third in runs (1636) fourth in RBIs (1676) fifth in hits (2689) and home runs (509) and sixth in hit by pitches (135). Sheffield hit his 500th home run on April 17 2009.

This 1988-89 rookie-era Worth model WC137 Gary Sheffield professional model bat is uncracked and shows evidence of outstanding use with slight checking (grain separation) from repeated ball contact on the front barrel. Also visible on the bat are blue and red bat rack streaks and there is a light coat of pine tar on the upper handle. Sheffield's initials (GS) the length (4 \12) and the model number (WC137) are stamped into the knob.

Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA
