Here are two handsome game-worn road jerseys from two key contributors to the Baltimore Orioles from a generation ago. Ray Knight was a standout infielder who was nearing the end of his 13-year career when he hit 14 homers and knocked in 65 runs; Mickey Tettleton arguably the best-hitting catcher of his time was in the middle of his sterling career when he hit 15 homers and knocked in 51 for the club two years later. Starting with the 1987 Knight shirt it has "Orioles" across the front of the jersey in orange and black tackle twill below which is the player No. 25. Knight has added a brisk black Sharpie autograph directly below his number on the front. Knight's No. 25 appears on the back in the same fashion; on both this and Tettleton jersey the player nameplate has been removed. On the inside left tail is the "Rawlings" label with the size "44" and a gray patch reading "1 87" (representing the set number and year). The jersey shows light game use and has no alterations aside from the nameplate removal mentioned and three buttons missing down the front. There is quite a bit of light fraying of delicate black stitching of letters and numbers. The Tettleton shirt from 1990 has "Orioles" across the front of the jersey in orange and black tackle twill below which is the player No. 14. Tettleton's No. 14 appears on the back in the same fashion; as is the case with the previous jersey the player nameplate has been removed. On the inside left tail is the "Rawlings" label with the Size 46" and flag tags of "Set 1 1990" and "2 inches Extra Length." The jersey shows light game use and has no alterations aside from the nameplate removal mentioned. There is barely a whisper of light fraying of delicate black stitching of letters and numbers.
