While his Phillies faltered to a fifth-place finish in 1987 37-year-old veteran Mike Schmidt continued to produce as though he was in the prime of his career. With 35 homers and 113 RBI to his credit the Hall of Famer garnered top-16 MVP consideration for the eighth straight season (Schmidt won the honor outright three times). Offered is an autographed Rawlings-Adirondack "154A" red-ring signature model bat used by the Phillies icon during that '87 campaign. This 35" 33-oz. white ash lumber showcases Schmidt's black Sharpie signature and inscription of "548" which trumpet "10" strength between the centerbrand and barrel stampings. The uncracked weapon shows moderate use with ball bat-rack and deeply embedded stitch marks throughout with a black marker notation of Schmidt's number "20" on the knob.
