Michael Jordan's second-year Fleer card, the 1987 Fleer #59 is one of the most recognizable basketball cards of the 1980s. Jordan appears in his red Chicago Bulls road uniform, dribbling with his left hand while raising a finger to call a play, his focused expression framed by the set's clean gray-and-white border design with "BULLS" in bold red lettering across the top. The reverse documents the historic 1986-87 season that preceded the card's release, in which Jordan averaged 37.1 points per game and scored 3,041 points, becoming the first player since Wilt Chamberlain to surpass 3,000 points in a season.

Released on the heels of his iconic 1986 Fleer rookie card, the 1987 issue captures Jordan at the dawn of his superstardom. The 1986-87 campaign brought the first of his 10 scoring titles, and the following season he claimed his first MVP and Defensive Player of the Year awards. Over the ensuing decade, Jordan would capture six NBA championships, six Finals MVPs and five MVPs, establishing himself in the eyes of many as the greatest basketball player of all time.

This example has been graded EX-MT 6 by PSA (cert. #160333633). The card presents with bright, vibrant color and a sharp image, with wear consistent with the assigned grade. As one of the most popular Jordan cards ever produced, the 1987 Fleer remains a cornerstone of the hobby and an essential piece for any Jordan or vintage basketball collection.
