Its "SHOWTIME!!!!The Los Angels Lakers have the 2nd most NBA titles with 16 (Boston has 17). Here are 2 basketballs signed by members of 2 of those championship teams.
The first ball is from the 1987 "showtime" championship team led by Magic Kareem and Worthy. the ball is an "Endorsed by the NBA" ball with signatures in black felt pen. Signatures include: Magic Johnson Abdul-Jabbar '87 James Worthy Michael Cooper Byron Scott Adrian Branch A. C. Green Mychal Thompson Billy Thompson Mike Smrek Wes Matthews and Pat Riley. There is some fading of the leather on about 25% of the ball from being on display at the Newport Sports Museum. The signatures in black felt pen are very readable with only some slight bleeding and fading.
The Second ball is from the 1988 championship team that Pat Riley "guaranteed" would win as they celebrated their 1987 win. The ball is an official NBA ball and the autographs were signed with a black felt pen. Signatures include: Magic Johnson Abdul-Jabbar James Worthy Michael Cooper #21 Byron Scott Kurt Rambis A. C. Green Mychal Thompson #43 Billy Thompson Tony Campbell #19 Mike Smrek Wes Matthews and Pat Riley. There is some bleeding/fading on the signatures but they are all identifiable and readable.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
