George Brett was one the games premier hitters during the 1970s and 1980s. He would hit over .300 on eleven separate occasions including a career high .390 in 1980 and finish his career as one of only 24 players to amass 3000 or more lifetime hits. Brett was still be in peak form during the years this bat was used. He finished his career in 1993 with a .305 lifetime average. Dating from the 1987-88 period this 34.5 inch 30.5 ounce Louisville Slugger model C271 George Brett professional model bat exhibits evidence of excellent use with a handle crack. Some checking (grain swelling) from repeated ball contact is visible on the back barrel. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right barrel and there is a heavy coat of pine tar (a prerequisite for any quality Brett gamer) on the mid to upper handle. George Brett has signed the front barrel in black marker. An ideal Brett gamer with outstanding usage traits and display quality.

LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA (auto.).
