This Spalding Official NBA game basketball is signed by the 1986 Boston Celtics Wold Championship team. Considered one of the greatest teams in NBA history the '86 Celtics went 40-1 at the friendly confines of the Boston Garden en route to a 67-15 regular season and a remarkable 15-3 run in the post-season culminating in a 4-2 series win in the Finals over the Houston Rockets. With "DJ" and Ainge outside "The Chief" and McHale inside and Larry Legend on the wing this special group will always go down in Boston lore as the perfect balance of offense defense size quickness and unselfish play.
There are 14 total signatures including Larry Bird (HOF) Kevin McHale (HOF) Robert Parish (HOG) Dennis Johnson (HOF) Bill Walton (HOF) Danny Ainge Jerry Sichting Sam Weldman Rick Carlisle Greg Kite Sam Vincent and head coach K.C. Jones (HOF). The signatures range 7-9/10 in black marker. The ball comes as issued in excellent condition.
