The 1986-87 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan rookie card is the most famous basketball card ever produced and one of the true icons of the entire hobby. Issued during Jordan's third NBA season, the card is recognized as his definitive rookie card, as Fleer held the NBA license and produced the first widely distributed basketball set in years.

The front features one of the most recognizable images in sports collecting, showing Jordan soaring toward the basket for a dunk in his red Chicago Bulls road uniform, with the ball held high in his right hand. The classic red, white and blue border frames the image, with the "Fleer Premier" logo at upper right.

The reverse displays the Bulls logo along with Jordan's statistics from his first two seasons, including his 28.2 points per game as a rookie in 1984-85 and his 18 games during an injury-shortened 1985-86 season.

Jordan went on to win six NBA championships, six Finals MVP awards, five league MVP awards and ten scoring titles, and he retired with the highest career scoring average in NBA history at 30.1 points per game. He is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time and was inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2009.

This example shows wear consistent with the grade, including rounded corners and surface wear, but the iconic image remains bold and colorful. The reverse is clean and legible. An affordable entry point into the most important basketball card in the hobby. Graded FR 1.5 by PSA.
