Addendum: MEARS has determined this to be Ewing's 1986-87 jersey from his second season.

In the 1985 NBA Draft the New York Knicks selected Patrick Ewing with the first overall pick and the 7-foot Jamaican center out of Georgetown took Manhattan by storm and became the face of the franchise until the end of the millennium. The 11-time All-Star is the Knicks all-time leading scorer and had his No. 33 jersey retired before his 2008 induction into the Naismith Hall of Fame. Ewing finished with career averages of 21.0 points 9.8 rebounds and 2.4 blocks dominating in the post and protecting the rim with the best of them. After claiming Rookie of the Year honors in 1985-86 Ewing made his first All-Star team during his sophomore season. Presented here is Ewing's N.Y. Knicks game-worn home jersey from that 1986-87 campaign. It has been examined by MEARS and given a perfect A10 mark.

The white mesh jersey has "NEW YORK" across the chest with Ewing's iconic No. "33" front and back all coming in orange-on-blue tackle twill. "EWING" is sewn directly across the upper back in blue tackle twill. The left front tail has the appropriate MacGregor Medalist Sand-Knit labeling with the Knicks exclusivity message and a 6" LB extra length strip tag above. Inside the collar is the important Gerry Cosby Athletic Outfitters distributor tagging. The sleeve openings and collar have Knicks blue and orange trim. The mesh jersey displays solid and even wear throughout. You will be hard-pressed to find a more impressive Ewing example in the hobby. Ewing's early home gamers have proven to be quite scarce.

Letter from MEARS with perfect A10 grade.
