Offered here is a signed Cubs home jersey worn by Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg during the 1985 season a campaign in which he batted .305 and socked 26 homers. This blazing white blue-pinstriped pullover garment boasts the distinctive circular Cubs logo in blue and red tackle twill and Sandberg's No. 23 applied to the back in blue tackle twill. The left sleeve features the iconic Cubbies mascot patch. A "Wilson" Size "42" manufacturer's tag is situated within the collar; a strip tag beneath reads "23 85 2 42" which is chain stitched in blue cursive characters. Sandberg's distinctive black-marker signature graces the jersey's left front below the Cubs logo. A small white patch on the lower left front tail has "85" embroidered in blue stitching; below it are holograms from Sandberg and Major League Baseball. The item reveals evidence of moderate wear and shows no signs of repair or alteration.
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
