Six-time Stanley Cup winner Larry Robinson played 17 full seasons for the Montreal Canadiens and three more for the L.A. Kings from 1989 to 1992. He won the Norris Trophy twice as the league's best defenseman in the 1976-77 and 1979-80 seasons and the Conn Smythe Trophy in 1977-78. Towering Habs D-man Larry Robinson stepped up once more during the 1985-86 season leading his team to another Stanley Cup victory and scoring 82 points the second-highest total of his Hall of Fame career.
This is Robinson's road red CCM uniform from that year. As noted there are an extraordinary number of team repairs most prominently on each sleeve. In fact it's not a stretch to say that the lower portion of each sleeve show an area of repairs almost equal to original fabric. The battle scarred garment bears all the character of the warrior it served and meets every expectation of an ideal Robinson Habs gamer. The red shirt boasts the Canadiens' blue and white stripe highlights across the middle and waist and on each sleeve; The famed Canadien's "C" logo appears across the front in red white and blue stacked tackle twill with white and blue tackle twill for his No. 19 on the back and shoulders and white tackle twill for his name across the back sewn to a red nameplate. The MASKA embroidered white stitching appears across the back of the waist; the Hall of Famer has added a striking black Sharpie autograph at the top of the "9" from his number on the back. Just a simply spectacular example of a heavily game-worn jersey from the league's legendary franchise players and one its great defensemen.
Comes with a Letter of Authenticity from Larry Robinson plus a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
