In 1984 the city of Los Angeles hosted the Summer Olympic Games. This lot features a beautifully presented sample gold medal created by Jostens specifically for the Los Angeles Olympic Committee and t4 XXIIIrd Olympiad. The offered gold-plated sample medal which mirrors the design of the genuine medals that were awarded in Los Angeles measures 2.25” inches in diameter and is encased inside an acrylic holder that’s part of a larger wooden presentation box that measures 8.25” tall by seven inches wide by 3.25” deep. On the front of the outside wooden casing which slips over the acrylic bound medal there is an engraved gold plaque that reads: “THE GOLD Created By Jostens for the LAOOC and the XXIIIrd Olympiad Games 1984.”
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
