The 1984-85 Los Angeles Clippers season was the franchises 15th year in the NBA but its first season in the city of Los Angeles. Then-team owner and real estate mogul Donald Sterling who for the previous two seasons had been trying to move the team from San Diego finally succeeded with the teams relocation. Their new home became the L.A. Memorial Sports Arena. The team under head coach Jim Lynam finished in fifth place in the Pacific Division with a record of 31-51. This lot features a team-signed game-used basketball from that years club. The official Spalding NBA basketball boasts 17 signatures in black marker including Lynams and that of NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton. Other notable signatures on the ball include Michael Cage Junior Bridgeman Marques Johnson Derek Smith and Norm Nixon.
