In 1983 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Major League All Star game artist Robert Stephen Simon created paintings of former Yankee All-Stars and other former players and each was presented to the players at the 1983 Yankee Old Timers Day ceremony. The card company TCMA produced a set of cards entitled “50 YEARS OF YANKEE ALL STARS 1933-1983.” Of this complete set of 50 cards 43 have been autographed by former Yankee All Stars. Mantle has signed both his standard card and the checklist with him pictured. The cards come in mostly EX-MT to NM-MT condition with only a couple commons below that mark. The autographs are predominantly done in strong 8-9/10 blue marker (including DiMaggio and both Mantles) with only four exceptions in black pen. Here’s the list with their card #’s.
